According to the United Nations, there are 193 countries on earth. However, there is no rule to say what exactly makes a state. A president, a flag, a government? The reality is a lot more unruly. On our events we explore the realm of unrecognized states, micronations and curious border zones.
With guests from the fields of journalism, art and science we will explore the impact of borders on our daily lives. An evening with live interviews, presentations, a quiz, music and film, about stories behind the news. On 28 June, 20 September and 22 November at the Roode Bioscoop.
